This past Thursday was the release party of my boyfriend and his friend's collaborative magazine, THRWD. There was such a massive turn out? Good WOM? The anticipated art? Social networking? The alcohol? For whatever reason, there were so many people supporting the magazine, it was really shocking but exciting. Expect awesome things from THRWD!

Last Minute Halloween

This was my last minute halloween costume: a French girl with a black eye. And by last minute I mean, I found out we were actually doing something for halloween a few days prior to the event and I had twenty minutes after work to scrounge up a costume. Mine turned out to be more of a persona rather than a costume, a French girl with a black eye. There is no story to this get up, it just came to me and I had my boyfriend find a beret at a vintage store while I was at work. I ended up only wearing this for about two hours and so I was relieved that I did not have to spend a penny on this outfit because these pieces were already in my wardrobe (sans beret, thanks Trevor)! People seemed a little thrown off by the black eye because for one my outfit was quite "normal" compared to the sexy policemen and sexy mermaids all around. So maybe I only looked like a girl with a black eye. But I thought the beret was stereotypical enough to get the point across, no offense, of course. Really I loved the black eye and love to wear them on days that aren't halloween. Not in a masochistic way, but really just like the look of bruises.

Work is incredibly slow 93.4% of the time and so the funnest ways to pass time are by dusting the jewelry tables, finger spacing the clothing, do school work or cam-whoring. Today was cam-whoring (after school work of course). This jacket has been neglected until I suddenly realized that I actually did possess it just the other day and have since been trying to wear it as much as possible. Today is the only day I really felt that it went with anything that I own without looking obnoxious. It has like a million unutilized pockets, OH THE POSSIBILITIES.

Oh My Prince by Korean Indie singer, Neon Bunny. I haven't listened much to Korean Indie, mostly just pop, but after hearing this i'm definitely into Neon Bunny's sound!

moving in

I have officially moved into my very first (loft) apartment, I feel very lucky because our search was a sad one full of rat holes. Pleasantly surprised, the loft has STARK white walls, 12 ft ceilings, large windows and a lovely little kitchen in which I plan to level up my domestic skills.

We had a brief relationship with a terribly lumpy and misshapen $100 couch. Lesson learned, do not, under any circumstance, purchase a $100 couch because you will get what you paid for and you will be sad and you will go out and drop more money for a nice couch from ikea because frankly their stuff is modern and reasonable. Thus, there is now an ikea couch placed in the living room getting lots of love stares, and plenty of sits.

Initially I had anticipated decorating the place with fur throws, geometric rugs, rustic crates, little plants among other things until reality punched my face with price tags. As of now these chairs are my most prized purchase (sorry couch). I have so many ideas and wants… I will however have to work and wait for a paycheck in order to purchase anything. Ever. Until then I continue stock piling interior photos! Some of my favorite inspiration photos under the jump!

the day of couple photos

Today was unexpectedly fantastic. Trevor and I had our pictures taken by my talented friend, Yesi (sukilynn). She needed to supply a company with stock-couple-photos; so she gets her photos and we get nice photos together! I shamelessly often mentioned that I wanted some decent couple photos of Trevor and I, and upon my last mention Yesi contacted me shortly after-same brain waves! Now to impatiently wait for the photos.

A place that I would suggest for those who live in Dallas, Rusty Tacos on Main, really cheap for quite decent food. We had $2 brisket breakfast tacos with habanero and verde salsa, already want to go back and sit in the park longer. With a brisket taco.

Went to a damn casual place and a dive bar and thus kinda over did my outfit, but I was happy.

It is still fun, even at 20! Trevor and Mason came with intentions of illustrating the animals and I tagged along and took a ridiculous amount of photos. Mostly of kitty, meow.
